Favourite Movie: Deliverance (Watch clip)

South African born player who was Kings outstanding batsman in 2003. However he found it hard to match the same high levels in 2004 when the pitches were a different beast all together. Although this poor run of form also coincided with Colleen, his girlfriend, moving over from RSA. (Were the energies being used elsewhere???) Showed flashes of the form of 2003, especially with a superb match winning innings at Barns Green. He has a quite distinct ritual when he first arrives at the crease, which includes various mannerisms, which culminate in the repositioning of his 'protection' - hence the nickname above! Also makes good use of his education by ensuring he never forgets how to count up to 11 - as has a further ritual of counting the fielders before he faces a ball. Rivals Simon Pipe as one of the players for conducting the 'milk delivery' fielding stop! Somehow, he claims to be an Arsenal fan???
