A hugely talented young lad with the future at his feet. All the years of listening to his father, forever spending weekend afternoons with a bat and ball in his hands, a love of cricket has led to Joel having the opportunity to make it at the highest level. With the support of coaches at Sunbury CC his talents have developed sufficiently to see him play at various representative levels for Middlesex. Kings are indeed fortunate that when commitments allow he turns out on Sunday afternoons, where his ability, enthusiasm, and energy are always apparent and of course welcomed. He showed all of us that his ability lies just not with the ball but with the bat as well - he batted superbly at Kempton to be joint top scorer (with his Dad). But this is no shrinking violet of a colt - he gives as good as he gets (after all he is nearly as tall as the rest of us - aged just 14!) and he makes it quite clear of his feelings should any one miss field or put a catch down off his bowling. Certainly a name to remember for the future - You can bet on it! But for the moment Kings are just delighted that they can count him as one of their own.
