Gordon Young

Gordon (Gordy or Mince) Young (also known as Son of Julc)
Debut: 2003 Appearances: 40
Right hand bat
, Right arm slow bowler

The son of Julc "I don't need this - I bowl in the Surrey Championship" . He would not be out of place at a cockfight - strutting around like the Cockerel that's won the fight. (He's also not unknown to get his cock out as well!) Has a temperament to go with his hair - fiery! No more so than when he threw the toys out of the cot at Shere and sulked! A hugely talented bowler who turned in some magnificent performances in 2004 - claiming 40 wickets in all. Voted as Bowler of the year by his team mates - he also took four 5 wicket returns including 7-44 versus Barns Green. He is also a talented batsman who boasts an extravagant leave outside off stump and who scored his maiden Kings fifty last season. His boast at having never having had a bhooner (duck) came to an end on the last day of the season. He was the target of an attempt by a fellow bowler to put him out of the game when being attacked by the flying head of a golf putter but such was his ego it bounced off! For some reason he can often be seen on the field of play wearing a baggy green Aussie cap - for what reason we have absolutely no idea. Like to give his all on the field and likes nothing better than winding up the oppo with some first choice banter. He is a supporter of the all-conquering Chelsea FC.
